under the snow

this is my favourite picture that i took in the last few months . the effect of the blue lights under the snow is amazing and i hope i captured it at least a little bit . it's in front of the city hall where they covered a tree and some evergreens in blue lights (as you can see in yesterday's post). oh , btw , now the snow is gone so it's not that nice anymore .
the second picture was taken from the back . in front of the city hall is the capitol hotel and in between is a sculpture about the legend of founding of Rome : the she-wolf with Romulus and Remus . Romulus and Remus are the traditional founders of Rome in 753 BC and are the twin sons of Mars . their grandfather's brother ordered a servant to kill them after they were born but he couldn't so he put them in a basket and laid the basket on the Tiber river so they survived . they were nursed by a she-wolf . at 18 , they founded their city but Romulus killed Remus and named the city after himself - Rome and he became the first king . the Romanian people was born from Romans and Dacians when romans conquered this part of the world (called Dacia at that time) , that's why you can find sculptures like this in Romania .

I've never seen anything like this in my life. For a sec. I thought it was clouds. It's fantastic.

Love, love, love!!!, those photos! What a great effect with the lights under the snow. Lovely. One of my aunts named her first two cats Romulo and Remo - she was a teenager back then. :)

What an effect that the lights under the snow have, this is a beautiful scene with all the festive lights. The city hall is fantastic as a backdrop. The second picture is nice to see a wider image of the lights and snow. Thank you for the history, too, it is much appreciated.
