cny

because for many people is the chinese / lunar new year and in east asia is a public holiday (i know that in singapore is the only time when the city has a real break and for one day in the year everything is closed) i will post this picture of the "china restaurant" in brasov , the oldest chinese restaurant in town (used to be called "marele zid / the great wall") . the prices are high and you can't see many people inside . i don't know about the food , i've only been there many years ago .
all the best in the new rat year , happiness and prosperity !

Ro, you are right about the city resting on Chinese New Year. But this year some of the big supermarkets (eg. Giant) are open and on the eve of CNY they are opened 24 hrs. It is a competitive world.

Been to this restaurant last week.
I can delightfully say that the food was great, and the service was impeccable (probably because they weren't very crowded - just 3 tables were occupied).

The prices were pretty high though (compared to the surrounding restaurants), but the quality of the food compensated.
