this is a huge walnut tree in the front garden at the family house in the countryside .
it's strange but i think the frost added some life to the dark branches , it's like the skin exploded and the white flesh came out . what am i talking about ? hahaha ... anyway , nice pattern , too bad the sky was almost white and the contrast is not good .

The pattern turns the walnut tree into an abstraction--very beautiful photograph, Ro. The sky although not in contrast, works well because it appears as part of the abstract pattern, like a neutral, white background to the image.

The tree looked lovely. My favs for your december posts are Dec 12,18,22,29,31. But my all time favourite of your blog is the single pear hanging in the tree in Nov 17. A real survivor. :)
