an office building recently renovated . it's good to see more old buildings renovated but it's gonna take a long time cause almost the whole city needs renovation ... hahaha

still working on it but they gonna open soon . a new hotel , a small , business hotel , the location isn't great near to the bus terminal but the area will get better in a few years , especially after the brasov business centre will be ready . and actually the hotel looks cool , modern simple architecture , one of the few modern new buildings in brasov that actually doesn't look stupid .

fair

this weekend we have 2 events . a clothes and shoes fair , confintex 2008 at itc (first pic) and a constructions exhibition , camex 2008 at the sports hall (second pic) .

it's open

after one week with a lot of rain and cold weather , the door is open for spring . the past three days we had 20 degrees C and it smells like springtime . it was about time .

budapesta restaurant

this one is the budapesta restaurant also on republicii street . this location makes everything more expensive than the rest . never been inside but i want to . they serve hungarian (duh!) and romanian cuisine and i heard from a friend that it was not bad . but things (and chefs) change .

full house , not bad atmosphere , live music (the vocal of the band was sick so it was more funny than fun) altogether not bad . maybe next time it's gonna be better and i will even try to eat something "irish" ... hehehe

ok , this one is different . no protection . beauty . the house is on republicii street and the top part is fantastic . it would be even better with some renovation .

this one is more like romanian style architecture villa . on nicolae iorga street .

the modarom building

one of the most well known buildings in brasov , a place for seting up meetings . it's at the end of republicii street on the site where years ago there was a beautiful villa which after an addition of a new wing became a hotel but it was partially destroyed in ww2 and later was demolished .

this building was the fashion centre of the city (moda = fashion) but now is an office building with a bank at the first floors and a local tv station at the top floor .
